MHC Zips At The Bar (Zip) is a gorgeous, AQHA buckskin gelding! He is 5 years old and he stands the perfect height right at 15 hands. Zip was raised on our family ranch and is out of our good stud (Joe Jack Red) out of a nice daughter of Eyes on Red. We have started many babies with this exact cross and they have all been incredibly smart and beautiful- he is no exception! He is a GREAT ranch horse, trail horse and is going very well in the heeling, breakaway and is very well started in the heading. He loves to work and craves roping! Zip is very broke, has a great neck rein and travels very collected. He has a ground covering walk, soft trot and smooth lope. Zip has been used on the ranch to push cattle and check broodmares out in the pasture. When roping, he is quiet in the box, very cowy and stops hard. This beautiful buckskin is great on the trails and has been ridden by many different levels of riders. He will cross downed logs, water and rough terrain with ease. He has nice hoof and bone that will hold up through the years! He has that kind, smart eye that everyone wants. He can be ridden out alone or in a group! We have left him off for months and he always saddles up and rides off perfect. Additionally, Zip is elegible for the HPI (Howard Pitzer Invitational) held at the Pitzer Ranch. Zip is 100% sound and healthy! He is great for the farrier, good to haul and will stand patiently tied all day! Zip is extremely good minded and very talented.
